Choosing the right gaming surface in India often gets overlooked during a PC setup build, but the dimensions of your mat directly impact mouse movement freedom, keyboard stability, and desk clutter. AULA offers two primary cloth surface options: the standard-sized AULA MP-W and the extended desk mat AULA MP-WFFM.
Quick answer: standard (300x250mm) or extended (700x300mm)?
The decision depends entirely on your playing style and available desk surface area:
-
Pick the AULA MP-W (300×250×2mm): Ideal if you have a compact study desk, use a wrist-aiming technique at higher DPI settings, or want a lightweight, portable mouse pad for laptop gaming.
-
Pick the AULA MP-WFFM (700×300×2mm): Ideal if you play low-DPI tactical shooters like Valorant or CS2 requiring wide arm swipes, or if you want a uniform desk mat that anchors both your mechanical keyboard and gaming mouse together.
What is the AULA MP-W?
The AULA MP-W is a compact, standard-sized gaming mouse pad measuring 300 mm in width, 250 mm in depth, and 2 mm in thickness. Finished in clean matte black, the AULA MP-W provides smooth glides for high-DPI mouse sensors while occupying minimal surface area on smaller study tables or office desks.

Who needs an extended pad: keyboard + mouse on one surface
An extended mouse pad like the AULA MP-WFFM changes your desk dynamics by acting as a foundational base layer for your peripherals:
-
Keyboard Stability: Resting your mechanical keyboard directly on the AULA MP-WFFM prevents the board from sliding during aggressive keystrokes and dampens bottom-out typing vibrations against hard wooden desks.
-
Consistent Tracking Area: Low-sensitivity FPS players often run out of swipe room on standard pads. The 700mm width of the AULA MP-WFFM ensures your mouse never runs off the edge during 180-degree flick shots in Valorant or Apex Legends.
-
Unified Aesthetic: Placing your mouse and keyboard on the single black surface of the AULA MP-WFFM creates a streamlined look for your gaming setup.
Surface feel, stitching and base
Both the AULA MP-W and AULA MP-WFFM use micro-woven cloth surfaces optimized for optical sensors:
-
Surface Tracking: The fine cloth weave provides low dynamic friction for swift glides while offering enough stopping control for precise micro-adjustments.
-
Rubber Anti-Slip Base: The underside of both the AULA MP-W and AULA MP-WFFM features a textured anti-slip rubber pattern that grips wooden, glass, and laminate desk surfaces tightly.
-
Low-Profile 2mm Thickness: The slim 2mm profile keeps your wrists close to the desk level, eliminating uncomfortable pressure points during extended sessions.
