CORSAIR VIRTUOSO PRO Open-Back Gaming & Streaming Headset

The CORSAIR VIRTUOSO PRO is a studio-style open-back headset built for people who stream as much as they play. Instead of sealing your ears shut, the ear cups stay open — air moves, the drivers work the way they were designed to, and the sound stage opens out instead of collapsing into the middle of your head. There's no battery, no dongle and no software: a single 3.5mm cable plugs into whatever you already own.

Why open-back matters

Closed headsets trap air behind the driver, which fights the diaphragm and pushes everything toward the centre. Open cups remove that resistance: instruments and effects sit in separate places, so positional audio reads as direction rather than volume. It also means you can hear your own voice and the room around you, which is why streamers sound natural on an open-back and shouty on a sealed one. The trade-off is honest — open-back leaks sound both ways, so it's built for a desk, not a noisy commute.

Graphene drivers

Graphene is extremely stiff and almost weightless, so the 50mm diaphragm moves without flexing. That's what keeps detail intact at the top end instead of smearing it, and what stops the mix turning to mush when a fight gets loud. The response runs to 40kHz — roughly double the range of a typical gaming headset.

One headset, two setups

Clip the uni-directional boom on and it picks up your voice rather than your room, for comms and casual streams. Pull it off and the VIRTUOSO PRO becomes a clean pair of monitors for a Wave XLR, an audio interface or a USB mic — so you're not buying a second pair of headphones for the same desk. It slots into an existing stack too: mix and monitor through Elgato Wave Link, or route the boom through NVIDIA Broadcast for live noise and echo removal.

Comfort over long sessions

Memory foam under breathable cloth rather than leatherette, on an aluminium-reinforced frame that comes in at 338 g. The open cups let heat escape, which is the actual reason sealed headsets get uncomfortable after a few hours.
