The MSI USB4 PD100W Expansion Card instantly adds two USB4 Type-C ports to any desktop PC with a PCIe 4.0 x4 slot — unlocking 40Gbps data transfer, 100W device charging, and dual DisplayPort 1.4 display output in a single card. It uses the Asmedia 4242 USB4 Host Controller and is compatible with USB 3.2, USB 2.0, and DisplayPort 2.0 (8K/60Hz). The card requires a connection to the motherboard's U4 header and USB 2.0 header, plus a 6-pin power connector from the PSU — making it ideal for adding USB4 connectivity to existing Z490, Z590, Z690, Z790, Z890, B660, B760, B860 or higher builds.
